Anyone using Autometer Mechanical Speedo?

Does yours make a clicking sound? I bought one off ebay. When you are driving you can watch the needle bounce a tad and it clicks. It actually gets kind of annoying.

Im just curious if that is common for them or if I need to give autometer a call about maybe getting a replacement.

Could be that the cable is binding or it's not seated properly in the speedo. You could also try pouring some oil down the cable casing.

I'll check the cable tonight. Might squirt some white lithium grease inside of it. Thanks

Re: Anyone using Autometer Mechanical Speedo?

you can always call auto meter. they also do repair.

one of the big auto part stores. had a blow out sale of all there auto meter parts. expl $300 tachs $100. most of the stuff was 90% off

i picked up $600(summit price) in parts for $75

sent in parts to auto meter to swap out for stuff i wanted.that i could not get from the parts store... they even put together stuff for me that they did not have in stock..Auto Meter
