How much can I get away with?
So I have pretty much all the interior panel from a 4th gen firebird. How much of it can I install on my third gen. What kind of modifications would I need to do?

I know the seats are a direct bolt in replacement. Mine has 4th gen seats. For the panels though, I would suspect some differences as the body styles are different. If a part is easy to remove, I would suggest removing it and comparing it to the 4th gen one.

Front and rear seats are a direct bolt in. The Center Console is also a direct bolt in. Dash can be made to fit and work correctly. Ive seen people use door panels also but they dont seem to fit correctly without a lot of work. Thats about all the interior that you can use.

Or just not be a dead beat, and save the cash. I was joking anyway.... However, I have to agree. The only 4th gen car I'd consider owning would be an LS1 'Bird.
The fuel prices are starting to make me feel like a dead beat, speaking of that. Diesel is just going up and up, every few days. I may scrap my plan of an '03-'07 Ram 2500 in favor of something that gets way better MPGs.

Nah, the Prius is a joke. The amount of pollution from producing their batteries will totally outweigh the mileage in the end. I've had the idea of an MK4 VW Jetta TDI floating around my head for a while.
Still a decent looking car, cheap insurance, 40+ MPG, and the cool factor of a diesel. Best part is, the cheapest I'd expect to pick up an '03-'07 4X4 6 Speed quad cab Cummins powered Ram 2500 for is 14-16K. Mainly for the 03 and 04's, most of the 05+ diesels are still holding their value above 20K.
By scrapping that plan, I have lots of options. I can pick up a new DD to give the Mustang a break and save gas money, I could pick up the bike I've wanted for a while, a 2004-2006 Yamaha R1, and have lots left over. A little over 2K and counting saved so far, I'm expecting to have that sort of cash set aside by early next year.
