I recently bought seat belts from a member here on thirdgen from the classifieds section. The seat belts were from a newer third gen with the upper bracket in the back seat.

I started messing around with them today and I noticed a problem- I cannot get any of the seat belts to pull out at all as if they are locked up. Do I have to install them first? maybe there's a lock on the seat belts? Or did the guy sell me a set of non-functioning seat belts and rip me off...

 

they have to be tilted a certain way

 

Is there a way to tilt them the right way to test them? or should I just mount them and see if they work?

 

you can but its difficult to find, id mount it then go at it.
