Re: need help removing door trim pics inside

1. Remove all plastic trim and door handle from door panel.
2. Pull out on door panel, releasing pins from holes in door shell.
3. If window isn't already all the way down, put it there.
4. Put one hand on top of door, across the top, and the other on the bottom of the door panel.
5. Squeeze upper trim plate towards where door window normally is when closed AND lift up on the bottom of the door panel at the same time. Trim plate will come up with door panel.

You can't remove the window sill plate without removing the door panel. They're held together with pins molded into the sill plate that go through holes in the door panel which are held in place by speed nuts. Only ways to separate the 2 are to a, remove speed nuts; b, break off the pins; and c, break the holes in the door panel (guilty).

Ditto, had never seen that idiotic design before, and tore one of my door panels taking it off. Sucks. Need to replace my window sweeps too btw.

I'd start with loosening the bottom of the door and removing the panel from the bottom and work your way to the top (after removing the door handles, arm rest, etc).

The top of the panel is secured to the door panel with 7 grey clips that are VERY delicate and require a SOFT SOFT touch to remove.....I ended up breaking every other one and gorilla glue and clamps to re-secure

thanks for showing that picture. that really helps me see where the pins are. i was planing at starting from the bottom and working my way up. I really hope my window sweeps go in without any suprise problems. I keep reading about the holes not lining up.
