speedo swap

I have a 1985 camaro,I've swapped out the old motor for an Lt1/4L60e from a 1996 camaro, with the help of a painless wiring system.
the old speedometer was a cable operated, would appreciate any help fitting a new speedometer.

Re: speedo swap

You will have to get an adapter that turns the electronic signal into a mechanical signal to turn the cable for the speedo. Or, you can swap out the gauges for electronic versions and simply program the new electric speedo to the correct pulses per mile. Any electric speedo will come with instructions telling you how to program the unit to the output signal coming from the trans.
