gauge differences

So I just bought an 82 z28, 24774 miles (seriously). Car was hit in the front in the mid eighties. Anywho, after it pieced together in 2006, then parted out again and fixed back (sorta) I ended up with it. Interior is sun baked and needs paint, buit's a start. I pulled the dash pad off today and started cutting and sanding, gonna fill it in with greatstuff and then cover with black tweed. Hope to add pictures soon. Now, my question. Are the 90-92 speedo's cable drive? I really like the style better, but wasn't sure of the difficulty.

Oh, hello from GA. Rob

no the 90-92 speedos are electric. i think dakota digital sells and adaptor. but im not sure how they will fit in the dash. the 1990 to 1992 and your years are totally different trims.

Re: gauge differences

Was thinking about changing the whole dash. Never been a fan of the double needle speedo on my 82.

If you so desired, you could swap in an 85-89 Camaro speedo head to your cluster--your choice of 85, 110, or 140.
