Re: Consensus On Dash Pads
So my pad is cracked on the corner. I don't want the glare or texture of a painted one so I think ill try my hand at covering it with some leather. Maybe find some nice 4x6 speakers and grills and mold them in flush should look nice.

Re: Consensus On Dash Pads
Right now, I'm concentrating on getting it inspected. New tires are coming today, then I need a vss, and some air dam plastics. Its been 12 years since it was on the road and its KILLING me. If you still have it in a few months, I'll check on it. If you can sell it to someone else in that time, by all means, please do.

Re: Consensus On Dash Pads
Surprisingly this isn't the first time i've heard of using it. I was using a really good product from Black Magic I think it was, called Ice. Worked very well. But I am switching to baby oil soon after seeing how well it has worked for others on the interior restoration threads.
I did the same with an uncracked dash pad I got for our 86 SVO, only I coated it, wrapped it in foil and then wrapped it in seran wrap and then stored it in our closet for a couple of years until I got to restoring the car. It's in the car now, and looking good as new.
I just recently received _another_ uncracked dash pad for our 92 B4C, and will be treating it the same way. I'll probably NOT wrap it and leave it for so long, but will probably let it sit for a couple of weeks before wiping it down and installing it.
