1984 Camaro Interior

I found this 84 Camaro and have asked a few questions about it in other forums but I have a question about the interior. It has special seats in it that say Camro on them and I just haven't seen this before and I am struggling to find any information about them. Were they a special edition? Only available in '84?

Any info you guys can help me with would be great!

Here is a picture:

Re: 1984 Camaro Interior

That is a "CCC" interior "Conteur Custom Cloth"

See this thread for more info:

FWIW, it's pretty rare, and I'd keep it clean and prevent any rips, as the replacement fabric gets pricey.

Could we get pictures of your back seats and door panels as well? Maybe post them in the thread I linked.

Those Are The L/S Conteur Reclining Bucket Seats. According To My 1984 Camaro Brochure They Were Optional Only On The Z28 In 1984

Re: 1984 Camaro Interior

Thanks for the information guys. That thread is loaded with info. I haven't bought the car yet but I plan on going back to look at it again this weekend.

Is this brown more rare than the other colors? It seems like there isn't much info about it in that thread but maybe I am missing it.

Re: 1984 Camaro Interior

I wouldn't say it's more rare, as the interiors didn't make it into a LOT of cars to begin with, due to the cost ($650).

That being said, the dark brown was only available with the Brown Metallic and White exterior color, and was only used in 83 and 84, so it's quite possible you'll never see another one in person.

Now, it also must be said that rare does not always equal desirable OR make it worth anything more than a car without it. A perfect example is the Chevy Monza Mirage; they were made only in 1977, and only 4096 of them were made. I owned one, picked it up in close to showroom quality for $3500 in 2003, and sold it for $3500 in 2010 (albeit a bit more worn out by that point, but still in 7-8 out of 10 shape)

I'd say if you like it, buy it. The "rarity" adds a conversation piece, and a little something to set it apart from the rest of the F-body pack.

Re: 1984 Camaro Interior

Honestly it will probably just be a quick turnaround car for me. I like the look but the color I'm not sold on so I feel like I can buy it at the right price then clean it up a little and sell it. Maybe look for something with this interior down the road in a color that more suits my interest.

If you know of anyone looking it will probably be available in the future! Haha

Re: 1984 Camaro Interior

My dads 1985 iroc has the "camaro" interior. Exterior is bright blue metallic with black interior. My dad ordered the car from the dealership and got the option which cost him close to $700. Still has the car to this day and the seats just add to the cars character. Good conversation piece really
