1992 Trans Am heater not working right.
Hello everybody! Recently the weather has been getting cold here in Kansas, and I went to turn my heater on and the hot air only blows out the bottom vents. Not sure why since air blows out the top vents when its on 'vent' or on air conditioning. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Sounds to me like a problem with the vacuum selection switch. Try taking the controls out and see if you see anything wrong, or just replace it.

I'm 75 percent sure your heater valve isn't working sir. I've seen it a few times.

How do you fix the heater valve? And right now I'm in college at Hutchinson but originally from Ottawa.

Re: 1992 Trans Am heater not working right.
I took that picture after I painted the wheels. Its definitely not a show car, I bought if for $1000 and the guy thought it needed a fuel pump. After I got it home I replaced the fuel pump and found out he tried it before and cut a hole in the trunk to do it. So it wasn't the fuel pump, so then I started doing the shotgun affect on parts. Being 18 and wanting to be self-sufficient, I didn't seek any help from anyone except the guy at the parts store. It sat in the garage for two months until my mom called my uncle over and he found out that one of the fuel injectors was shorting out causing the other ones too. But now it runs like a striped *** ape! haha

Heat selected should only come out the bottom. It is hot right?
If you want heat top and bottom it should do that if you select vent and then hot on the blend lever.
