Anyone Tried Monte Carlo Dash Swap?
Anyone Tried Monte Carlo Dash Swap?
I don't know what it is but never really cared much for the 3rd gen dash. I put a 4th gen one in an 85. Now I have a 83 was wondering what all dash swaps people have tried and if you have pics. I was sitting in a Monte Carlo at work the other day and thought I really like the dash on this car and just eye balling it the dimensions look close.

What year? I assume you mean the 2000-05 dash. Anything from below 2000 is terrible. The 00-05 dash is nice and so is the 06-07. Cluster would be an issue but that's not too big of a deal. It would be a little more involved then a 4thgen swap but not bad if done right. All depends on the specs. Technically you could find ways to retro fit 3rd or 4thgen climate controls, switches into that dash.

slightly refined 06-07

Sorry yes I meant those year range it was and 2004 I think can't remember was Dale Jr edition. As for hvac controls with last one just extended them into center console and put a touch screen in it for the last 4th gen dash. Only wiring I ran into was switching to a dakota digital converter box for speedo. Was thinking next one trying to Frankenstein the cable driven needle mechanism to new cluster.
