Non power to power seats
I have a 91 firebird convertible. It has power windows, locks and mirrors but manual seats. Do I need to get wiring harnesses for power seats or is it possible i have hookups under the carpet? Thanks

Only way to know for sure is to check but usually they are not there however the wiring harness will most likely have a connector to add the harness. It runs under the center console to about where the seat belt bolts down. Orange/black wires.

Re: Non power to power seats
It may be included with the seats. Not all harnesses are the same, the plugs on 4th gen seats won't work on 3rd gens but it's easy enough to buy a male and female connector w/ terminals and crimp those on. If you buy the 4th gen lumbar and power seats be aware, the pump motor is in 1 seat but it delivers via a plastic tube to the other seat as well, it's taped into the harness...so if you are going that route make damn sure you get it along with the seats
The harness for non lumbar is simply just 2 wires w/ connetors you could even use spade terminals and fab your own harness not as slick as stock but can be made to work just make sure you tape it to the original plug so the wires don't fall out... or rewire the original main harness for a new connector combo and go from there

Re: Non power to power seats
I think they only included the harnesses on the earlier cars...I am also trying to convert manual to power, but did not find the power harness in my car. Lifted up carpet on both sides and all the way up to the console, nothing. Was pretty disappointed since every other option I've added to this car already had factory harnesses.

Re: Non power to power seats
the power seat wiring is a seperate harness that plugs into the fuse box so it's rediculously easy to add. It has a ground lug under the seat mount rail. It runs uder the carpet. If it's not there, either buy one or make one and get a connector at vatozone for the bat terminal.
