85 IROC. Converting power doors to manual?
I was wondering what all had to be done to convert my power windows to manual? It's an 85 IROC with all power everything. Building a car for the strip and wanting to shed weight and not worry about the vollts and not getting the windows up and down. Just let me know.

Remove your old power window motors and regulators. Install the manual parts. It's a real simple remove and replace deal. It's been a while since I did mine, can't remember if the regulators used all the same mounting holes. Hardest part is wrestling the old parts out.

The power regulators use different mounting holes... You'll want to get the manual regulators up against the door shells to mark which holes will be used before you cut the power regulators out.
You will also need to remove the dash pad and undo the upper dash supports to lean the dash back to get the cross-car harness out from under there, followed by the driver's sill plate, kick panel, and seat so you can get the rest of the window harness out.
