Swapping out gauge cluster, steering wheel & headlight switch - Some Questions

I have a full set of AutoMeter gauges including a new bezle all ready to go; also have a new steering wheel and a new headlight switch. I have a few questions:

1) How much time should I budget for this? I've read the individual posts on the removals & installs, trying to figure out if this is something I can knock out on a Saturday or Sunday or should I plan for a full weekend? I know it'll take me a little longer because of the wiring issues, just trying to get an estimate on the the time it would take to do a "normal" swap out.

2) Currently, my horn doesn't work and I think it's because something in the wheel is broken. Just wondering what I need to check before putting the new wheel on to make sure I get it working?

3) I'm switching from the cable speedo to an electronic one - what do I do with the cable? How hard is it to take it all the way out of the car? Or do I want to tie it up someplace behind the dash, just in case?

4) All of the sending units that came with the gauges look identical to the ones already in the car. My plan was to leave them for now & see how the gauges (temp & oil pressure) act and then determine if the sending units need to be replaced. Good plan, or should I just plan on swapping them out now?

Thanks for any information.
