4th gen interior parts query

hi all, I couldn't find any info on this so hoping someone can help.

I am in Australia and cant find what I need locally.

basically redoing the interior in my third gen and need to customize a fair bit.

I am in the process of fitting up a GTO dash and need to modernize the door panels to suit.

I want to use the 4th gen firebird door panels as a base and have been looking thru the online dismantlers but they seem pretty pricey @ $250 a pair.
1. Is this a standard price?
2. Who sells firebird parts at good prices? (they don't need to ship internationally)

also trying to find out if the 4th gen interior door sills fit into a third gen?
i haven't seen any yet, but hoping they are more modern and flexible than the third gen ones.

Thanks

Vince

I doubt you will get 4th gen door sills to work if you are talking about the black parts.

Re: 4th gen interior parts query

Best bet is to cut the third-gen sill, then use the 4th gen seal and kick-panel piece.

$250 for a non-cracked set of 4th gen panels isn't bad. If they're all ready cracked (which is fine if you are using them as a base, too much). Put a wanted add on ls1tech.com and you should be able to find some cracked ones.

saw a 2001 firebird with ebony interior very clean at pickapart a week ago so they are around. Usually can get them for 25 a panel.

Nothing from car pics I posted are for sale though. Looks like it is being parted but it was a z28 donor car I bought for motor and stuff, then put a 3.8 in it and gave to my girlfriend.

Probably because while it has been sometime since I have owned a 3rd gen. I recall the inside kick panel trim was part of the plastic door sill. Where the 4thgen it is two separate pieces. You can see in this picture my kick panel trim that runs along the bottom of the floor is out but the door sill plastic remains.

The 4th gen sill is also doesn't use screws to hold it in place it uses metal like wedge clips, plus it's overall shape would make it quite difficult to put on a 3rd gen.
