Does anyone have pics of what the defroster wire is supposed to look like where it plugs into the strut on the wall of the cargo area?

Reason I ask it, both of my wires are simply these frayed looking wires (almost like they were never coated?) and I was wondering if they are supposed to look like that or if I should replace them. The defroster works perfectly, has for years.

I don't have any up close pics, but essentially it looks like a silver twisted mass of wire with a plug on the end.

*EDIT* you can kind of see it on the third pic in post #4 of my interior resto thread: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/inte...storation.html

Re: Rear Defrost Wire/plug on Strut
Exposure to the sun has caused the insulation to deteriorate. Behind the sidewall panel the wire will be insulated.
