Good glue to glue plastic to fabric?

I have the deluxe interior and I'm re doing door panels. I am taking the factory red ones and putting on the black arm rest and trim piece that separates the two patterns.

The trim that looks like leather is only plastic. What can I use to securely glue the black on onto the red panel. Do they make a special glue capable of gluing plastic to fabric and will hold up to use in something like a car.

Glue sounds messy.
When I want to bond two pieces of just about anything I use Scotch 3M two sided tape. It has a very thin foam center section that contours very nicely but produces a bond that does not come off. The foam inside will give way before the actual tape will.

Just to add another option to the mix (I've used both of the above options btw, great choices)

Another choice that I've found works surprisingly well is regular hot glue (can be had at any craft shop). Used it to hold the fabric cover onto the plastic skeleton of my sail panels, holding strong for over 5 years now (and it's really clean to use too).
