power door locks
Power door locks work but the actuator in the door may not be working fully is my guess. But before I go taking the door panel off and replacing the actuators. Just wondering if this is a common problem or do any of thenrods get bent at all? Its the same on both side. They will lock and unlock but you have to push the button like 10-15 times it slowly works it self to the unlock and lock positions

Re: power door locks
Take the panels off and observe the rod travel and operation at each point. #1 the actuator - plus all the rods are clipped in the plastic retainers/guide, if the popped out of the clips or clips broke off of door etc, a little lube wouldn't hurt either.

Re: power door locks
Mine wouldn't work at all when I got the car. I popped open the panels then cleaned and oiled everything up. Now they work like new.

Re: power door locks
If oiling them doesn't work, or if you want them to really kick when you press the button, I would suggest wiring in a 4th gen bcm. Quite a bit of work, but it has a built in relay and a whole bunch of other neat features. Takes some wiring know how, patience, and time, but it is well worth it in my opinion. The old relay is horrible.

+1
mine do the same thing, plan on trying this over the weekend
maybe ill post up some pics of the bird too. still awaiting paint, but ive completed the repairs since getting her last fall (heater core, headliner, hood actuators, hood latch release, minor body work, weatherstripping, and last but most importantly a leaky set of coolant lines
