Fiberglass dash

I removed the dash from my car with plans of installing a 4th gen dash along with a ls1 drivetrain. Plans changed as usual. The stock dash was trashed. I don't have air and was looking at the one piece fiberglass dashes. A few places offer them.

My question is can I at least mount a headlight switch in these? I was going to make my own gauge panel. Although it would be cool if I could cut out a place to mount the stock cluster in it.

Re: Fiberglass dash

I haven't seen one in person. Might be cool to paint it to color match your car. It'd open up a lot of cool options for adding interior color without it getting tacky. I debated glassing my dash pad and painting it red along with the upper door panel plastics to match the car. I haven't seen that yet on a third gen.

I ve seen a few pics but none with headlights mounted. I figure I can cut out the hole for it . I'll go ahead and buy it and see how it goes. I'll definitely post pics since there seems to be a lack of them.

I have been working on mine for a while, it is a lot of work. Hoping to finish it this spring.
