For those with 4th gen seat belts, crumbling sticker?

Hi,

I am in the market for a set of 4th gen seat belts. Look at items on ebay it looks like it is common for the sticker on the front seat belts to be in really poor shape. See the top middle of the picture below. Can this sticker be easily removed?

Thanks,

John

I think those are sewn on. If I remember correctly... They're sort of printed on fabric. Im sure you can use a seam snipper and get it off of there.

If its stuck on with glue...you could try using a hot iron with some paper towels over it to heat up the glue and get it off. Then keep using the iron on the glue til it pulls it up.

But Im almost sure they're sewn.

Justin, you were correct, it is stitched on. However as is usual, used parts always disappoint. What are people doing to their cars? My seatbelts came from a supposed 'nice' 2000 Camaro. My daily driver as 180k miles and the belts look MINT compared to these things. So it looks like I will be going with the Classic Industries reproduction seat belts and I will have to use the shoulder belt lower anchor plastic sleeve from the used belts.
