Speakers and sound

Any ideas of how to improve 1989 Camaro RS sound quality? New speakers but, the bass quality sucks. More then likely, "I'll need to dampen" what people have told me. I'm a broke student soooo.. ill need to do it cheap. Any ideas? Thanks

Re: Speakers and sound

Unless the car is rattling, you don't need to dampen. Try better speakers in the stock location and a "budget amp".
Post up questions in the stereo/audio section for more responses.

I ran Walmart JVC 2-way rear speakers in my old 87 TA with an old Pioneer deck (no amp) and it sounded pretty good.

I run 6x9 Pioneer two ways in the rear and they also sound pretty good but the "base" you might be looking for might be hard to come by with out a sub woofer and amp.
