Temperature Control Lever Stuck
I recently purchased a 1986 Iroc Z Camaro. One thing that I noticed is that the temperature control lever is stuck, and won't really move. It can move some towards the hot side, but nothing more than in the middle when trying to change to cold. I took the covers for it and the radio off (had to install new radio too) to inspect it, and it seems to me that the cable is stuck somewhere along the line. The mechanism that converts the horizontal lever movement to push/pull of the cable seems to be fine (hangs a little but doesn't change outcome when i push it flat against the bottom of the unit). I don't know anything about where that cable goes, how to get to it, where most likely the cable is stuck and why, and best way to fix the issue, so I'm hoping to get some tips and info before I start ripping everything apart without a clue.
I stumbled across this post (https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/inte...lend-door.html) which mentioned the temperature control cable, but I have no previous knowledge that helps me piece what those are together.

the cable is connected to the heater box,in this pic you can see the lever that it's connected to.Before you tare everything apart, take a pair of pliers to that lever and try to move it with the cable connected.it might be a little rusted inside the cable casing or worse scenario it could be kinked and then you'll have to replace the cable .Don't force it from the heater control slide you might kink the cable if it's not already.
