1985 Dashboard

I have a project underway and I am wondering if the dash from a 1990 firebird is compatible with a 1985 Trans Am. I will be converting to manual gauges. I am just wondering if I can simply put the 1990 dash in and all the screws/bolts will line up? Thanks

All of that should be the same. They used the same cluster design since at least 85 and did not change thru 92.

Re: 1985 Dashboard

There are some differences between 85-89 dashes and 90-92 with airbags. Most of it is the same but the lower edge on the drivers side has different brackets for lower panels because of the air bags.
It still mounts to the chassis the same.
I have a 85-89 dash in perfect condition for sale.
I have pics of both to compare but have to get to my computer, on the road today.

Wow that is pretty neat. Didn't know that the mounts are the same. I guess Camaro was the only bastard child when it came to dash mounts
