Hey gang I have been re-doing my car and it's all apart. I have it painted and I'm starting to put it back together. My question is for the power windows does. Is there a way to get the motor to bring the window down by unplugging the motor and using a battery and some wires? Problem is I don't have a battery in the car and all the wiring for power to the car is not in yet. I thought since there is only 2 wires to the motor I might be able to pull the plug and connect a positive wire from the battery to the window motor and then ground the other wire from the battery to the body. Would that work? I need to get the window down to get that damn outer window sweep installed. Anyway if anyone has any ideas on how to get the window down without power to the whole car let me know please 😎

 

Yep....just put power and ground to the window via a battery. On the motor plug, brown is down and blue is up. If you apply power to brown and ground the blue, window will go down and vice versa.
