Removing rusty and stripped seat trim screws?

I'm attempting to remove my seats because the track mounts are completely rusted and broke away from the floor pan. However I have a power driver seat and I can't move the seat back and forth to get enough room to remove the trim screws. On top of that they are so rusty that I ended up stripping them. I was wondering if anyone had any tips for removing stripped/rusty screws in extremely limited spaces?

Ok I was able to get all but one nut off but it's still stuck. I've tried just about everything and now the nut is almost destroyed. Does anyone have any suggestions that won't ruin the threads on the stud?

I assume you are still fighting one of the nuts that secures the seat to the floor stud.

You can cut the nut with a dremel wheel.

It will not harm the functionality of the threads of the stud if you nick the stud threads with the tip of a carbide bit.

Just go slow.

The heat from the friction of the cutting should loosen what's left of the nut after you spend some time on it with the dremel.

If the threads on the stud are buggered a bit, use a needle file to clean up any really bad spots. After that, you can use an oiled nut from one of the other studs as a thread-chaser to clean up the remaining threads.

This bit should do quick work on that soft metal.

Get yourself a set of those good old reverse threaded sockets that bite down the harder you try and loosen such as these bolt removers.

if there isn't enough room try maybe a bit like the other gentleman said earlier
