Source for 1990-92 horn switches?
Looking for the part above. Mine are both completely disintegrated on both of my 91s. Would prefer to buy new, but not having any luck finding anywhere new or used.
Does anyone have a source for these? Seems like it would be a common item to fail.

It is... They're REALLY poorly made. Last time I needed them, they were still a dealer item. Can almost bet the dealer won't have them anymore.
Probably wouldn't be too hard to come up with a momentary contact push button from Radio Shack or Mouser that would do the same job and last longer. The stock buttons just snap into a square hole. Could probably gut the OE switch, and "pot" a generic push button in the old switch body with something stupid like Hot Glue and have something far superior to stock.

I actually have a spare set of those. Perfect condition later replacement ones that have the black buttons. If interested get me your email address for pics and other info
Henry
I think another reason they fail is from the airbag cover getting kind of hard and out of shape needing a pretty forceful push to get the horn to honk, and
leading to the crunching of the buttons

Yeah, my airbag is fairly warped, particularly on the right side. Previous owner had a broken-off plastic dealer emblem shoved in between the airbag and the wheel to get the horn to work lol. Switch fell apart as soon as I removed the emblem.

Wow, nice find. Have tried to find these several times, but apparently timing is everything
