Help - leak in trunk & doors

Hi guys, my first post!
I just bought a 3rd gen 1983 Trans am, I fell in love with it at first sight.

It has a lovely rebuilt 350 and T-tops.
The car was garage kept before so it was not sitting out in the rain very long. I unfortunately do not have that privilege and left it in the rain last night. Went out to check on it and the trunk was leaking on both corners into the deepest park of the trunk, it had at least 6 inches of water!! I got a bucket and got most of it out, put a temporary tarp on it.

I am going on vacation for 2 weeks and leaving the car outside, I am going to buy a car cover and then rope a tarp over the back for extra protection. The parking space is on a slope.

What should I do? If I tarp it while I am gone do you think that will be enough to protect it from water? We are expected to get quite a bit of rain.

OR should I just get it into a garage and ask them to keep it for 2 weeks and fix the leaks?

Thanks for any assistance, this is my first muscle car.

EDIT: Also if this is in the wrong section please let me know.
