Take it to the Auto Paint Supplier, they can match 8it up.

LOL I'd um... buy a dozen or so rattle cans of the approximate shade of blue. Different brands, different shades, etc. Then I'd paint each can's lid so I have a true approximation of how the paint in each can ACTUALLY sprays out. Then I'd use my selection of cans with accurate paint chip lids to see which is closest to the original blue.
Just guessing, but 1982 Chevy Corporate Blue Engine Enamel is probably pretty damn close. A person could probably get away with Ferd Grabber Blue and no one would ever notice. Sometimes close enough is good enough. These cans didn't look that great even before the paint chipped and they turned into a rusty mess.

Sorry for the long wait for a reply. The car went back into body shop jail for a while and I just got it back again so I am back to working on detail items and improvements. Close enough is all I'm really looking for. Shade for any color can be off in a picture but I couldn't find many of actual canisters. Most were from parts catalogs like the one above. So unless I can ever photograph one in the future, close enough will have to do.
