T-Tops + Vinyl Seats

I just bought an 82 firebird with no interior. I'm looking for seats and really like the idea of vinyl seats instead of cloth because they are easier to clean and I think they look better. However, it's a t-top car andas a feeling that rhe the seats would get extremely hot during the summer.

Has anyone put vinyl seats in a t-top car and had issues with them becoming too hot?

I've had them in a few t top cars and yes they get hot but are very nice and easy to clean. I say get some t top sunshade for when it's in the elements and enjoy! I hate my current cloth seats i do plan to change them out for some GTA seats or 4th gens.

If you have t-tops, you need shades, if for no other reason than to keep your interior from fading. If you don't feel like shelling out $100+ for shades that probably won't match your current headliner anyway, I've had good luck with this stuff, blocks out nearly all the incoming sunlight, and doesn't look terrible.

Re: T-Tops + Vinyl Seats

Could just take the tops to a tint shop, probably pretty cheap to have some limo or tint put on.

You can find Vinyl OE seats for a thirdgen. I had a set that I sold a few years ago. Fourthgen vinyl/leatherette seats will also bolt in.
