So my car and parts car are both 87 ta ‘s. The parts one has the gauges and t5 ( no trans) and my driver had a digital dash and auto but he ripped the gauges and all the wiring out. From reading I’m going to assume they’re both electric speedos? ( I have gone into my car much I’m still tearing everything out of the parts car) is this a straight forward swap and Is the connection to the two different trans the same?

 

Depending on the engine the harnesses are different between the auto and manual transmission.

 

They’re both lg4s

 

There may be all the wiring needed to just put the auto in the car and have the NSS and reverse light work then. I forget whether the LG4 had different interior harnesses
