Help Identifying Seat

Anyone know anything about this seat? Found it in a 4th gen Camaro at a Pick a Part (first pic is the car I found it it), but the car didn't appear to be an SS, and the rest of the seats were tan leather. Can't find pictures of these online, anyone know where its from? Possibly a custom seat of some sort?

Re: Help Identifying Seat

The upholstery has been redone. Hard to say what the original donor was before someone stretched those skins on there. Looks GM at least. Could be thirdgen Camaro, or G-body, etc.

Definitely been recovered, but I'm gonna go with 1983-88 Monte Carlo SS.

Ohhh, interesting! Yeah, it does look very similar to the 80s Monte Carlo seats. Wonder why someone chose to put that in a 4th gen camaro? Not that I'm gonna complain, it's alot more comfy than my factory drivers seat 😁

Re: Help Identifying Seat

A Chevy seat shouldn't be more comfortable than a Pontiac seat. One or the other must be more "broken in" or the Chevy seat may be overstuffed.

The second thirdgen commandment applies here - Thou shalt not TransMaro.

Yeah, I thought it seemed weird that the SS seats were more comfortable. My car is sitting at about 184k miles, and the seats were still original. They have a lot less padding then this new seat. And I agree on the TransMaro thing. If I can get a Trans Am head rest, I'll definitely swap it in the place of the SS one.
