91/92 Trans Am Leather Seats

Looking at purchasing a 91 Trans Am convertible; nice car, but the tan leather seats are trashed from sun and wear, so before finalizing a deal I am trying to figure out what it's going to cost me to re-do the seats.

I know the 91/92 cars are uncommon, but are the seats unique to those years? If not, what year range would match? I know any 3rd/4th gen seats will fit, but this is a car I want to keep factory looking.

If I decide to work with the existing seats; are there foam and cover kits available? Where and how much?

Anyone had their leather seats redone at a local custom upholstery shop? What was the cost and were you happy with the results?

Thanks,

We put the Hampton vinyl kit in our 91 Trans Am convertible. Bought it from Classic Industries for like $500 and change. It cost another $500 for an upholstery place to change it over. For the money, I am super happy with them. They look great, feel great, etc.

Heres a before and after. This car has the factory GTA style seats

Lethal Interior leather covers, real leather. Her vinyl versions are a bit more than the Hampton but she does nice work. The only thing, she is one person and you're going to have to wait. Was also about $500 to have installed, included rebuilding the foam, going through the seat mechanisms, etc.

Those look REALLY good! How expensive were the covers from her?

Thanks guys, very helpful. Those are identical to the seats I am dealing with here. Both look like great options. Did either of you buy new foam? Or you just left that to the upholstery shop?

Those look great! Did you recover the door panels as well?
