What is that button?
What is that button?
Hello. I was reviewing a posting for the selling a 91 1LE and I noticed in a photo of the driver's front seat (down by the track) a red button. Is this a factory option? Does anyone know what it is? Thank you.

Ejector seat. It was James Bond's 1LE.
With a hardtop car, it wasn't one of Q laboratories better ideas.

My guess would be a backup kill switch in the event that the VATS doesn’t malfunction

It could be a momentary switch for programing or disabling an alarm system. I have a similar switch on the seat belt cover for my alarm .
