Fuel Gauge ground wiring help

Hi have a 92 Camaro rs convertible,. My fuel gauge sits past full, I disconnected plug at rear seat hump connector and still stays past full, if I remove gauge put it on E and connect it back and turn key on goes back past full mark. I removed drivers rear seat cushion and I see where wiring comes to but I don't see the ground point where everyone is talking about, the three. Wires purple grey and black go into the driver's side rocker panel. Any help, any pics of the ground

Re: Fuel Gauge ground wiring help

Gauge goes to full when the circuit has high resistance, including open circuit.

I think the ground might be located under the driver's seat? I can't remember exactly. Just measure continuity between the connector at firewall and chassis ground, if there is virtually no resistance then you know you have a good ground.
