Convertible - alternate source/application for front seat belt retractors

All,

My drivers side front seat belt retractor is constantly going to reverse lock and not coming out. The ASC drawings show these have an ASC part number since their convertible retractor mounts on a stiffener panel they put in. I found a set advertised here on the forum in 2019, and just posted asking if they were still available. There are GM part numbers but no luck from this end.

Meanwhile I'm looking for some alternate application with a similar retractor. I can find really nice complete sets online but they caveat 'not applicable' to convertibles.

Has anyone found a source that will work in the ASC convertibles? Hawks is looking for some but at this point no luck there.

Thanks in advance!

Gerry-

See attached.
Brett may be able to help. He's a good guy.

Thanks for the info and offer on the grey. Deep into this, Brett does not have a direct/correct one. I had a line on a set here but apparently they have been sold.

Looking at after market belts that are single retractor vs these which are double retractor. I believe a total set of after market ones can be had, but they will only be 'close'.

I took the rear panel off and got the retractor to release. I'm going to pull it out and see if there is something else I can see/do that might keep it from happening again. My OE belts are quite beat... sun and use.

If I come up with something 3rd party that works I'll post back here.

Thanks!
