Ive got a 1983 chevy camaro z28 and the hatch wont lock. I tried installing a new lock cylinder but it doesnt lock it I used the key that goes to the lock cylinder from the hatch latch as well. I also tried moving around the latch assembly to align it. It is now alligned and still wont latch down on the rear hatch how do I fix this?
There is a "Catch" that rotates around the loop in the bottom of the hatch. When this catch rotates down to hold the hatch closed there is another "catch" with a hook that is spun by the lock cylinder. Hatch Open Hatch Closed Hatch Open Hatch Closed
