I put the MAF in and the car would not run with it in. Throws a code 34. If I disconnect it, it runs fine. The guy referred me to an equally clueless person who told me I should be messing with my TPS and "adjusting it by ear."

I've been troubleshooting tons of crap in this car for weeks now, per these threads:

http://www.thirdgen.org/forums/dfi-e...-bad-mafs.html

The seller told me the SES light was on, but never bothered checking it. He assumes and claims it was because the AIR stuff was disconnected, but there is no code related to the AIR system. Once a car rejects the MAF and runs on "limp home mode," it will run and drive fine, just like he claims it did. He has not replied to me since Monday. He told me I should take it to a mechanic for proof that the MAF is bad. If I could afford to, or desired to, take the car to a mechanic, I would have done that in the first place, and they would not let the car leave the shop with a faulty MAF. This would also cost more than even a new MAF costs. I might as well just buy a new one and throw this thing in a camp fire.

People on this board just seem like a bunch of jerks, so you might as well just delete my account here.
