So on top of everything else I got going on this summer, I may be dipping my toes into the LS world. There's a guy that has some ported 243 heads I'd like to buy, but he's selling them package deal only with cam, pushrods, and tuned ecm(all from Texas Speed). The cam is way overkill for what I'm doing, so I figured I'd ask if any of you LS guys would want it. If not that's fine, I'll pass on the deal. Would ask 600 for cam, pushrods, and springs cause that's what I'd have to pay.

 

$600 is a bit high for a used cam setup honestly. If that is what you'd have to pay for them in the package deal, I would probably pass. You can buy a head/cam package from texas speed for a pretty good price new. I myself have PRC 2.5 ported 243 heads and a mild 228R cam and love it! I understand not wanting a cam that big. The head/cam packages are really the way to go... if you go with a smaller cam you can have the heads milled for more compression to make up some power.

Great advice, thanks! Everything is "almost new", lol. Supposedly only has break in time then removed. He's wanting 2000 for everything. Didn't wanna spend that much without being able to recupe some of my money. I think I'll pass on the deal right now. If anyone here could use the stuff it's on Pittsburgh Craigslist...
