Digital Dash & Engine Swap

I have a LT1 lined up, but I have heard that there are issues with the digital dash and changing engines. Is this true? What kind of problems am I looking at?

Looking over the diagrams for the digital dash, it looks like it could work. I don't see anything that would cause you to have problems. All of the guages appear to connect directly to the senders, I don't see anything that would go to the 3rd gen ECM that wouldn't get a signal from the LT1 PCM. What problems have you heard of and do you have links to any posts about this? I have never personally dealt with the digital dash, so I can't tell you one way or the other for sure, but from what I can tell, I don't forsee any problems.

I read somewhere (I'll try to find it and post it) that most of the dash will not function properly when hook up to a LT1 or LS1. It sounded kind of fishy to me, but I wanted to make sure before I did all the work.
