heater core/hose question...

did a search but couldnt find anything...i got rid of my heater core with my ls1 swap, what do i do about the nipples on the water pump for the hoses? Can i plug them, or do i need to find a U to loop it? Having a hard time finding a U to fit the two diff sized nipples. Any suggestions would be helpful!
Thanks,
Adam

i let the car idle for about 10-15 min and it got a little warm, then checked it, no circulation. The fans came on, but the radiator and hoses are not hot at all. any ideas? pull the stat out to see if it flows, if so, replace the stat? if not, then what???
Thanks,
Adam

You need to loop the two fittings so coolant will flow, others have reported problems w/ the thermostat not getting adequate coolant at the 'stat to open it when they've tried capping the fittings.
