Ready to order parts?

alright im finally pretty much done prepping my car for the LS1 to drop in, i need to order a final parts list. i was plannin g on ordering the LS1 tubular crossmember from Hawks(he said it would be 3 weeks to get to my door) which tranny crossmember for my T56 should i order? spohn? hawks? and do i need anything else as far as structural hardware?

please if you have suggestions or expierence with parts infom me and help everyone out

I can say that the Spohn piece is really nice, that's what I'm using, and from what I remember, the Hawks piece is a Spohn.

Ok i kinda figured that lol, so ill prlly go ahead and order from Hawks the tubular crossmember, and from spohn the T56 crossmember

hawks = spohn

i highly reccomend the crossmember sold by drews on this board.... (pm him)

it has cutouts for the exhaust to pass thru.... it makes for a MUCH nicer, better flowing exhaust.

quick ?.. should i get the tranny crossmember with the optinal drive shaft loop? this is going to be a daily driver/ weekend racer car..i dont think i need it do i?

DS loops are a great idea...

HOWEVER spohns one has a tendency to hit on the stock TQ arm.... mine did, along with some others....

although if you read what i posted above, and looked at your intended exhaust routing, you might want to not order it at all, and PM drews.........

Yea i totally agree i messaged him just a second ago, and as long as the price and availablitlies right ill defenitly go with drews
