Anyone running the LT1 hot cam?
I've allready bought a comp cams 224-230 on a 112 LSA but was curious as to how the Hot cam sounded and how much power it makes. Another Queston, what kind of headers are ya'll running on these LT1's? I've got a set of 1-3/4 hedman headers that came off of the 406, after looking though I don't think they'll work with these D port heads. I plan on buying a set of ceramic coated one's, hopefully mid lengths that will work with my hedman y-pipe.
I ran the Hotcam for 4 years. great street cam, made 320 at the wheels with a conservative tune and LT4 heads. had a great powerband as well. definitely a good street cam for a daily driver

Only bad thing about the 1 3/4 is they aren't made for the angle plug heads. The Hedman 68479 (painted) or 66479 (coated) headers are D-port mid length that will work with the hedman y-pipe, and also made for angle plug heads. I have no problems at all changing the plugs out. Bad thing about those 1 3/4 headers, Hedman discontinued them for the 3rd gen f-bodies.

I didn't think about the angle plugs, crap, guess I'll go ahead and order the right headers and keep these in case I get another third gen. BTW, I ordered the fuel rail adapters from Performance Plumbing and plan on having steel braided fuel lines made at Royal Brass and Hose. Did you go with these? I'm using an Aeromotive Fuel pressure regulator, still need TPI fuel lines from the tank to the engine bay though

I have 1 3/4 SLP shorties on mine and changing plugs are a pain. I use a cut off spark plug socket and a gear wrench. I have the hot cam in my car. I like it, but the springs that come in the kit are prone to binding if reved too high.
