part # for fuel sender swap

ok so i sold the other sender i have so ill release the part number. sorry for being and jerk about it but i had to make some money back. anyways here is the part #25319676, application=97 grand prix (non-supercharged before vin 238198) dealer will most likely charge you 130ish.

just to let you the variable resistor board is 0-90ohms. now the sender itself may not click into place like your ls1 sender does. removing the board is very easy. just take your time and be gentle.

so enjoy and if you have any questions just ask.

Re: part # for fuel sender swap

Dumb question - I got a spare fuel canister from my 2000 Grand Prix GT (non supercharged). I don't suppose I can use this one, no??

I'm trying to fire up my LS swap and have zero fuel pressure. I'm confident the fuel pump is done for and needs to be replaced. Since I'm about to tear into the fuel tank (stock 3rd gen tank), hoping I can kill two birds here.

Re: part # for fuel sender swap

A fuel canister wouldn’t fit the stock hole in a thirdgen tank.

Re: part # for fuel sender swap

Horey Shet. I forgot, I also have a 2000 "LS1" Camaro Fuel sender too. I've done some serious parts hoarding. I'm going to pull it apart to salvage the pump.

Can I remove safely that "sender" and attached it to my 3rd gen fuel canister/sender??

The sender swap being discussed is how to use a 99-02 plastic tank with a 99-02 Camaro fuel pump bucket in it as part of a thirdgen swap with factory thirdgen gauges. The level sender for a 4th gen will only work if you have swapped the dash to 4th gen gauges or aftermarket gauges using the signal associated with a 4th gen sender.

No 4th gen fuel system parts will fit into a stock thirdgen tank without fabrication of a new opening to fit the fuel pump bucket.

The sender in the original post is one that fits a 99-02 fuel pump bucket in the tank but puts out the correct signal for thirdgen gauges.
