Swap in LT1, keep TBI

Ok, so I have the option to buy a wrecked Buick Roadmaster with an LT1 for dirt cheap. I don't want to go swapping computers and stuff from it into my Camaro (92 RS 305 TBI), so the plan is to get a carb manifold for the LT1 and use an adapter to bolt my stock TB unit to it. I know I still have to play with accessories, but are there any other electrical or otherwise interesting nuisances that I am going to run into? I assume the transmission won't pose a problem since using the stock TB I can use the stock TV cable setup.

Yes I know tuning will be an issue I will be getting a burner/emulator to cover that.

Personally, I think you would be taking a step backwards with that. The Lt1 swap isn't all that bad. I had my harness modified by someone, and then it be came really easy. All had to do was hook up was ground, switched power, constant power, and my fuel pump and it kicked right off. The transmission can be used with an LT1, so that's a non issue. I would think twice about it before you go that route.

I agree that the wiring hassle is very much worth is. It;s really not as hard as it seems. an LT1 with a TBI intake is no better than a standard 350 with Vortec heads and TBI. the cast iron LT1 heads have the exact same ports and chambers as the Vortecs. The LT1s intake is one of it's biggest advantages.

If you still decide to go through with it, you'll need to remove the LT1 oil pump drive and add a distributer

lt1 intake is the advantage. I need to retain smog and the miniram and stealth ram are for no egr...lt1 or lsx seem the only real option.
