Got a new project
Well after properly timing the new cam in my TBI 350 in the 1983, I am leaving it alone for some time. It is running GREAT, pulls hard, smooth, and fast.
Well I am pulling back on the TBI projects for a little while. Time for a Cammed/Head LQ4 swap/4L80E (2006 Express 2500 with 6K miles). This time into a very clean 1995 G20 Shorty Conversion Van (Garage kept with 65,000 miles but a lame, weak 4.3 TBI).
Laying in the corner of my garage is my 2006 LQ4 6.0. It started out with 340 HP and is getting a 224/224 @ .050 cam, a 2,600 rpm stall torque converter, long tube headers, and HP tuning software to tune it with.

Re: Got a new project
Since you mentioned the 4L80E, I got a question that you might be able to answer. My dad and I pulled a L31 with what I believe is a 4L80E out of a wrecked 99 Express 3500. What I'd like to know is the 4L80E A direct bolt in in a F-Body? Sorry to hijack the thread wiht this question.

Thanks man! I guess if I ever get my hand son the engine it's gonna be either a 4L60 or a T5. Maybe even a T56...

Man, you always have some neat things lying around. That'll make for a mean swap. Shame the engine and more importantly the trans are so big. In a bare bones third gen or something, that would make for a real fast setup.
