Re: LS1 T/V Cable Solved

Just an update, I recieved my kickdown setup from bowtieoverdrives and noticed that this setup will not work for at least 2000-2002 LS1 throttle bodies, it seems the linkage where the throttle cable rides is shaped differant for the attachments that go there from the kit, I do know that the 98 model year throttle bodies will work fine, the 99's I'm not sure about. So in order for this kit to work with a LS1/700R4 you will need the 98 style throttle body or at least the linkage end off one to switch over.

This was part of some info was supplied to me when I asked about differences between years of LS1's.

"1998-1999 LS1 cars had a smaller throttle body cam, which caused the throttle to open to WOT (wide open throttle) faster than 2000+ cars"
