LT1 A/C

Well, I finally found a hose block that has the fittings coming straight out of the top, made for an LT1/LS1 style A/C compressor. A company called Doc's Blocks carries it, part number AA0443. Looks similiar to the one below, they don't have it on their website, but the catalog does 17 bucks plus shipping for the block.

Re: LT1 A/C

I am going to order one today. Maybe it will save me the cost of the corvette parts I am still looking for.

Re: LT1 A/C

I was assuming that the stock LT1 lines were usable on 3rd gens like the p.steering lines where you just gotta do a bit of re-bending. What is the problem? I have to buy EVERYTHING for a/c so anyway possible to save cash would be great.

That's actually the hoseblock that should work for the f-body setup.

Re: LT1 A/C

Hotrodair have a collection of parts that work for many applications, blocks, hoses etc.... just a good source recommend is all.. they had the block I needed and made custom hoses over the phone. If I hijacked with that I apologize.

The 4th gen compressor is different, the angles on the lines are different too.. You need to get lines that are somewhat custom from the compressor to your condenscer and receiver/dryer.. I believe the source I mentioned can hook you up if you contact them.. also others on the board have done this.

I also support the hotrodair suggestion. I purchased my block, fittings and hose from there. I have pics of mine on my cardomain page. The service was great and the prices were reasonable.
