Vin location?

I have an LT1 and I can't seem to find the vin on the motor. Is there anyone out there who might help?

I don't have a lot of LT1 exposure, but being the same baseline design as Gen I SBC's, I'd think it would be on the pad in front of the passenger side head.

But, I could be wrong.
