Who is running a T-5 with their LT1?
I was curious as to how many people are running a T-5 with their LT1, and if any one has had it break?

I'm swapping over currently... Just bought a new slave cylinder and I'm installing it tomorrow...

I'm still debating on using a T5. Not sure it will be able to handle the LT1.

Re: Who is running a T-5 with their LT1?
From what I've understood T-5s were only put into the 305 cars (except for the mysterious 50 built 1LE racing option which I've yet to see), because the 350 Tuned ports were to much power for the transmissions, so I'm pretty sure an LT1 will junk it in a short period of time.

I ran a T-5 behind my Hotcammed LT1 for almost 4 years. I raced the hell out of it and the only thing I had to do was replace synchros. The problem with running the T-5 is having to rig up a speed sensor. Other than that, it works fine.

Re: Who is running a T-5 with their LT1?
Thats what I wanted to hear. I have a hot cammed LT-1 in already with the T-5. I have not had any problems with it so far but I dont drive it a lot and have only been to the track twice with it. So I was just curiuos as to how well and how long it would hold up. FYI I did have the T-5 rebuilt with new synchros etc before I hooked it up to be safe.
