fuel pump staying on

i toke my iroc for a ride the other day and when i got home i shut it off and popped the hood and was just checkin everything out and i noticed my fuel lines were vibrating so i went to the back off the car to listen for the fuel pump running and sure enough it was pumpin like an sob,if i turn the key back on the fuel pump will prime and shut off until i start it just like normal, and it just started doin this outta the blue, all wires i spliced during the swap were soldered, shrink wrapped, taped and loomed so i dont think it has anything to do with wiring, anybody else had this problem after an lt1 swap?if anybody could throw me some ideas ide really appreciate it,thanks in advance

Re: fuel pump staying on

I know on the older motors when the oil pressure sending unit by the filter went, it would leave the fuel pump activated even with the car turned off and the keys out of the ignition. I'm not sure if the Gen II small blocks work on the same pretence.
