i have 68460 LT hedmans, want to know if they will work
Supreme Member
They probably won't cover the ports up like they should and make a good seal since they are round port headers.

i heard they will work with D-port. when i bought them i read they fit angle plugs to, but any differences in angle with lt1 vs gen 1 sbc heads?

The LT1 heads have the plugs angled at the exhaust port so they are done like this

where I think the older SBC angle plug heads were like this, I may be mistaken.
\ \ \ \ or it may have been / / / / don't really remember.
never mind....on the above, those are 4th gen LSx and big block angles.....
If you look, you can see the plug boots and where they come out on the headers I'm using which are the ones I posted above, these are D-port headers

and here are the pictures showing the tubes and the clearance they have

Heres how straights look with my headers. . .

They look like they might clear just fine?

The tubes look the same as on mine, I would just be worried about the ports not sealing up, or possibly creating a "step" from the port into the header which I remember reading on here possibly creating problems when using 1 7/8" headers on non-ported heads

Did you have to get a new y pipe for the hedman headers?
